Sliema

Sliema is a town located on the northeast coast of Malta. It is a center for shopping, restaurants and café life. Tas-Sliema is also a major residential area with private houses and several quality hotels.

Tas-Sliema, which means ‘peace, comfort’, was once a quiet fishing village on the peninsula across Marsamxett Harbour from Valletta. Now Sliema and the coastline up to neighbouring St. Julian’s constitutes Malta’s main coastal resort.

St Julians – Paceville

Paceville, St Julians, is a fun and dynamic night-life area riddled with bars and nightclubs which practically stand door-to-door, with trendy music. It attracts Maltese residents and numerous foreigners alike. Visitors range from business travelers on short stays to language students, who represent a significant part of the local population, particularly from May through September.

This is first and foremost a place for having fun, letting loose, dancing and socializing until the early morning hours. You can enjoy a wide variety of music, from laid-back beats in cocktail bars to rock ’n’ roll at cafés in Bay Street, and hip hop and R&B at Havana in the heart of Paceville.

There is truly something for everyone, although the area becomes lively and very busy on weekends, which may not suit those looking for a quieter atmosphere.
