Valletta
Malta’s capital city is adorned with beautiful baroque buildings and churches. Velletta is a fortified peninsula overlooking Marsamxett Harbour and the Grand Harbour on either side. Paranomic vistas of various parts of the islands, as far as Mdina, can be enjoyed from numerous vantage points.

St John’s Co-Cathedral & Museum
Originally the conventual church of the Order of the Knights of St John. It is fully adorned with a baroque interior.

Grand Master’s Palace
Currently serving as the Office of the President of Malta and the House of Parliament. The State Rooms as well as the Armoury are open to the public. Parliament will be moving to its new premises in 2013.
The Grand Master’s Palace has been the administrative centre of Malta for almost three and a half centuries. The original palace, built in 1571, was the seat of the Grand Master of the Knights Hospitalliers of St John and later, during the British colonial period, served as the Governor’s palace. Today it is home to the House of Representatives of Malta and the office of the President of the Republic of Malta.

Public gardens
The Barrakka Ta’Fuq and Barrakka ta’Isfel
Povide a panoramic view of the Grand Harbour and Cottenera area. Fort St Angelo and the Gardjola Bastion spearhead their respective towns of Vittoriosa, on the left, and Senglea, on the right. At noon the re-enactors’ unit fires one of the saluting guns which is situated beneath the viewing gallery. From the Upper Barrakka one may take a lift down to the Valletta Waterfront, and enjoy spectacular 360° views of Malta on the way down.
Hastings Garden
From this garden one can admire a panoramic view of Marsamxett Harbour, Ta’ Xbiex Yacht Marina, Manoel Island, Sliema’s urban landscape, Floriana and the hinterland.
Argotti Garden
Discover this garden by exploring its different levels. The garden at street level provides a panoramic view of the island. The lower level known as St Philip’s Garden offers a serene ambience.
